Description
Okapi has a rich history dating back over 100 years to Solingen, Germany, otherwise known as the “City of Blades” since it has long been renowned for the manufacturing of fine swords, knives and cutlery.
In the late eighties, Okapi South Africa purchased the trademark and tooling and began manufacturing the knives in South Africa. Over the last century, these knives have become famous, with even the likes of Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones having been known to carry the 907E Okapi Lock-Knife with him for years. In 2019, Lasher Tools acquired Okapi and continues to manufacture the knives in South Africa.
The Okapi Knife is highly robust, practical and equally affordable, all the while remaining faithful to its rich 112-year-old heritage.
